1) Contract Update – As we reported yesterday, the NTU Negotiation team has reached a tentative agreement with NPS. The final details are still being worked out, including salary guides and getting a signed agreement ready for the NTU Executive Board to review. Our goals were to negotiate terms that respected and values the work and worth of teachers, aides, clerks and all education workers, while maintaining our job protections and assuring better or equal benefits. Study finds NJ teachers are underpaid

A new paper by EPI Research Associate Jeffrey Keefe finds that New Jersey’s public teachers are undercompensated, relative to similar workers in New Jersey...
