Health Benefits Active Enrollment - Nov 2 - Nov 30

NBOE's new Health Benefits Enrollment Page is Live!

As we have advised, do not rush to make your decision.  Open Enrollment runs until November 30.  There is no prize for who finishs first.  These choices will have a major impact on you for the entire 2021 year.

As you go through the enrollment process, the website gives you comparisions in terms of plans and costs.  Read everything carefully, and make sure you pick the plan that works best for you.  If you have questions, use the "Contact Us" button at the top of the page.

Remember!  This is an active enrollment!  YOU MUST MAKE A CHOICE!  Even if you are currently waiving your benefits. you must go through the enrollment process and waive them again.

The only plan that changes your deduction schedule is the new "NJ Educators Health Plan (NJEHP) with Aetna plan".  All other plans will continue to use the Chapter 78 deduction schedule.  For more information, on what this means review our past updates.

This process will also give you access to Flexible Spending Accounts and info on the district's "TransitChek" program which allows you to use pre-tax dollars for your commuting and parking costs.  Take advantage of these programs!  They can give you tremendous savings each year.

On the left hand side of the screen, the library link brings you to a variety of important resources.  If you are considering going on the NJ Educators Health Plan, you would be automatically enrolled in the NJEHP Prescription Plan.  Make sure you look over that Prescription Plan carefully!  It changes some co-pays and has a very specific list of what drugs are covered and what to levels (that is refered to as a Formulary)
