This afternoon, we signed a tentative memorandum of agreement with the Newark Board of Education. This tentative agreement still needs to be approved by the Executive Board and ratified by the membership.
This is the schedule of upcoming events:
Monday, August 12 - 9:30 AM - Agreement will be presented to President Abeigon and the Executive Board for their review and approval.
Monday, August 12 - 12:30 PM - Agreement will be presented to Building Reps for their review.
Tuesday, August 13 - Material will be posted on our website for members to review:

Wednesday - Friday, August 14, 15, 16 - Walk-In Information Sessions at the Newark Teachers Union from 9:30 AM - 1:30 PM. Members of the negotiations team will be available to answer any questions.
Monday - August 26 - Ratification Vote at NTU Hall - 6 AM to 8 PM. Members of the negotiations team will be available the entire day to answer questions.
