Message from the Office of Teaching & LearningDear Teachers and Instructional Staff, Learning together is one of the most powerful ways we grow, not only as educators but as a united community committed to a common mission: to strategically elevate student achievement across our District. When we collaborate, share ideas, and support one another, we create an environment where innovation thrives and every student has the opportunity to succeed. As we prepare for our Staff Development Day on October 22, 2025, I want to celebrate the passion and dedication you bring to your work each day. The Office of Teaching and Learning has designed a variety of engaging, content-focused professional development sessions that will equip you with practical strategies and fresh ideas to enhance your classroom practice. These opportunities are essential as we work together to meet the diverse needs of our students and foster a culture of excellence. I am excited to witness the energy and collaboration that will emerge from this day, confident that it will have a lasting, positive impact on our schools. As Andrew Carnegie said, “Teamwork is the ability to work together toward a common vision. The ability to direct individual accomplishments toward organizational objectives. It is the fuel that allows common people to attain uncommon results.” Please know that I look forward to reading your feedback following the Staff Development Day. Your insights are invaluable as we strive to continuously improve our practices and meet your expectations. Thank you for your unwavering commitment to excellence in education. Wishing you a productive and inspiring Staff Development Day! Warm regards, Sylvia Esteves Assistant Superintendent of Teaching and Learning |
