IRS and Security Summit Partners Warn of Fake Tax Bill Emails

WASHINGTON — The Internal Revenue Service and its Security Summit partners today issued an alert to taxpayers and tax professionals to be on guard against fake emails purporting to contain an IRS tax bill related to the Affordable Care Act.

The IRS has received numerous reports around the country of scammers sending a fraudulent version of CP2000 notices for tax year 2015. Generally, the scam involves an

           Please insure that you keep a copy of every observation and annual evaluation that you receive.  There is no guarantee that copies of your observations and evaluations will make it into your personnel file at 2 Cedar Street or not be deleted from Bloomboard.  Please always check Bloomboard to insure that the district’s records conform to observations and annual evaluations you have in your possession.

Due to the NPS decision to pull its employees out of the State Health Benefit Plan and into Aetna MORE MEMBERS MAY NOW BE ENTITLED TO RECEIVE A WAIVER PAYMENT WORTH UP TO $5,000.   This was a benefit the NTU negotiated for you in our 2012 contract and can put up to $5,000 in your pocket, EVERY YEAR! 

Previously, due to state law, married employees whose spouse were also in the SEHBP could not opt-in for this waiver benefit.  This decision by the NPS changed that for those employees.

From June 27 to June 30, the NTU will be open our regular hours - 9 AM to 5 PM

The NTU office will be closed on Friday, July 1st and Monday, July 4th for the Independence Day Holiday.

From July 5th - August 12th, the NTU will be following summer hours - 9 AM to 2 PM, Monday to Friday.
