Two quick additional things:

1) Let's go to work bonus:

We met yesterday afternoon with Labor Relations and Employee Services to get some clarification on who will be getting the $500 payment.  To be clear, NTU did not negotiate these payments, nor do we agree with the conditions on who might be excluded.  I am just reporting the details of the meeting:

Full Time Staff -  All full time staff who have been in the system before July 1, 2023 would be eligible as long as they are still scheduled to be in the system when we come back from break on January 2, 2024.  Staff who's retirement or resignation go into effect before January 2 will not be eligible.

Per Diem staff - Staff who worked 500 hours from July 1, 2022 to July 1, 2023 and are currently actively working in the district (defined by having scanned into work at least once since Oct 1, 2023) are eligible.

Staff who are on FMLA or other leave:

 - If the staff member is on an active/paid leave, they would be eligible immediately

 -  If the staff member is on inactive/unpaid leave, they would be eligible upon return from their leave. If they do not return from the leave, they would not be eligible.

Anyone who has any questions can send them to and Randall Schrader at Employee services -

2) LAST CALL: NTU T-Shirt!  If you haven't done so already, make sure you sign up for your free NTU T-Shirt! You do not want to be the only one in your building not wearing an NTU T-Shirt on our next Wear Blue Day!  The survey will be closed on Monday
