Attention Young Educators: Join us on August 24, 2015 for the Young Educators in Solidarity with the NTU Inaugural Workshop
If you are under 35 years old and plan on making education your life's career, please take a day from your summer break to help us form theYES! NTU. We hope to empower young teachers with the knowledge and confidence with which to take action that will help foster a change in our union that will benefit all members.
It is no secret that younger people do not participate in the political process in the way that generations before them did. This inaugural session ofYES! NTU is only the beginning. We are also planning a pilot program that will have young workers engaging other young workers as part of a highly effective Teacher-to-Teacher system. We hope that this will have the two-fold benefits of having a more effective conversation with younger educators and making participation less intimidating for first time volunteers.
