American Federation of President Randi Weingarten, NTU President John Abeigon, and AFT NJ President Donna Chiera visited Newark's South Street School last week.
The "NTU... Teach for a Cure" team has been registered for the Making Strides Against Breast Cancer Walk on Broad Street on 10/18/2015. In honor of those who are battling, who have survived and who we have lost.

The Newark Teachers Union believes that the Arts (including visual arts, performing arts, music, dance, etc) are vital in ensuring all children get a well-rounded education. We have set up a group on Facebook to share ideas on Arts education. This group is a wonderful cross-district opportunity for art teachers (of all media) to get together and exchange ideas/lesson plans, resources and instructional thoughts.
