This document can assist you to organize learning environments and assist with planning. Message from Deputy Superintendent Johnson

Dear Teachers and Instructional Staff,

Now that the COVID-19 vaccine for children ages 5-11 has been approved by the FDA, the City of Newark will begin information sessions on COVID-19. Sessions will occur this week and will be made available in your school in the morning and afternoon. Information will be forthcoming for you to share with students and families. You will also receive consent forms for this population once available. Please continue to share approved information from your Principal and school nurse.

COVID-19 Testing and Vaccination Guidance for Staff
Governor Phil Murphy signed  Executive Order #253, requiring all preschool to Grade 12 school personnel to be fully vaccinated against COVID-19 by October 18, 2021 or be subject to COVID-19 PCR testing at minimum one to two times per week.  Under the NTU Constitution, Executive Board Meetings are open to the membership, except for when they are in         Executive Session.   Currently, the NTU is doing virtual meetings, so we are asking members who wish to attend the meetings to fill out the attached information, and we will send you a link to the meeting.  All requests must be in by close of business on the day before the meeting (for our October 26 meeting, that means all requests must be in by 5:00 PM on Monday, October 25.
